Chalet Chrysalis, Morgins : Information

Winter Skiing

Morgins is an excellent choice for a skiing holiday.

A couple of ski-lifts whisk you into the vast ski area of the Portes du Soleil and, although at 1400 metres, it is not the highest, there is nearly always a good run back to the village down the north-facing wooded trail.

There is a lively and very good ski-school in the village, with several sports shops offering equipment hire.

The skiing is fantastic, with far too much to be done in a week and catering for all levels of ability. There are beginners' slopes in the village and numerous easy slopes further afield. Intermediates are perhaps best catered for with miles of varied and scenic runs. Experts can throw themselves off the famous 'Wall' and find many other challenges in this enormous skiing paradise.

Another great feature is the quantity and quality of mountain restaurants. You are never far away from an atmospheric meal and a restorative drink!

Winter in Morgins is not just about downhill skiing. There are langlauf trails, an ice rink, and even night skiing, or snowshoeing for the more adventurous.

The indoor tennis courts are open all year, as is the aqua park at Le Bouveret, 30 minutes away on the shores of Lake Geneva.
